IRONING INSTRUCTIONS:

We use a high quality fabric label that is very durable. Labels must be applied according to our instructions.

Indelible ink is used to permanently print onto the label using Thermal Technology. Printed Labels are simply peeled off the backing paper (they feel dry on the back). The labels are ironed on to the garment, using a medium heat domestic iron set to 'dry'. Ensure that the iron is empty of all water/steam. The heat activates the adhesive and provides a permanent bond that is resistant to regular wash/dry cycles.

Our Labels have been tested to (UK) BS5742 wash care tests. Full ironing instructions are printed on the underside of the backing paper.

Please Note:

Ironing Instructions:

Note: We recommend that all clothing is washed and dryed before the labels are applied. This is especially true for clothing such as school uniforms which often have a starch finish (applied by manufacturers to make garments look great in the shop).

  1. Ensure that the item of clothing is completely dry.
  2. Ensure that the iron is EMPTY OF WATER
(No steam or water should be present as this effects the label adhesive).
  3. Set the iron to the “Dry” mode, temperature 140-170 Degrees C (middle/medium setting).
It is important that the iron is sufficiently hot to "activate" the adhesive, but not so hot it damages the label. Test Labels are included to test the heat of the iron.
  4. Position the label on the inside of the garment. Holding the iron flat, press the name label (text up) gently into position
  5. Turn the garment over.
  6. Holding the iron flat, press on the 'right-side' of the garment and hold for 10-15 seconds. This draws the adhesive into the garment.
  7. Allow the garment to cool down.
  8. Turn the garment over. Repeat pressings (text up) for three pressings and coolings, hold the iron flat and still for 10-15 seconds each press.
  9. Leave to bond for a minimum of 12 hours before washing.
