  Labels Direct specialise in supplying "low volume" labels, in simple "Black text & images on White labels OR White text/images on black labels. Our labels are fully washable printed fabric labels. We endeavour to provide a personal service, assistance with design ideas and a fast turnaround. Send us your design idea! We will make up the design, scan and email to you for approval, along with quotation and delivery expectations.

We specialise in order quantities of 100 to 1000 labels, so start-up businesses, crafters and small manufacturers alike can order easily and have their labels dispatched quickly. All our labels are printed in Hamilton. It's as easy as sending us your design idea, black & white logo, pictures and text. We can print a wide range of fonts - so don't forget to tell us the font you would like.     How to place an Order or Request a Quotation:

    Send your order or enquiry by Email. - Please send details of your design.

    Your design does not need to be designed to a professional standard. We generally enter text and place pictures directly into our print program as this generally provides the best level of print quality.

  • Please send a picture of your general layout / design - this can be in Microsoft Word, as a pdf or .jpeg picture...
  • Please send any pictures as a separate .jpeg attached to your email.
  • Pictures should be good quality "black on white" .jpeg images.
  • What is the purpose of your label? eg for a childs clothing item, large bag, cushion etc
  • Where/how will it be attached to your product, eg on neckline, sewn into a side seam, worn next to the skin...
  • What quantity is required? Our labout cost to set up each label is built into the cost of our miminum 100 labels order value.
  • (The more you buy the lower the per label cost).
  • What type of label do your require? ie white nylon, white satin, black polyester or a mixture ?
  • What dimensions approximately do you require? Landscape or portrait design? (Refer to table at the bottom of this page)
  • What fonts or kind of fonts do you require - plain, fancy, scrolled?

    If you're not sure what you want in terms of font styles or layout, send a general idea of what is required and we'll put some simple designs together to choose from.

    Order Processing:

    Once we have all your details, we make up a sample or sample labels for you to view. Labels are scanned and emailed to you for approval, along with quotation and any questions.

    Once you are happy with the label design:
  • Our bank details are forwarded to you for payment
  • All orders must be paid for prior to dispatch.
  • If labels are required quickly, we request that you email us a copy of your Bank Transfer payment acknowledgement.
  • Labels are printed and ready for dispatch normally 1-2 working days from agreement of design.
  • We can often dispatch same day by arrangement.

    Labels can be printed 'Landscape' or 'Portrait'.

    • 25mm x 75mm Landscape label for back of neck. Label Type: White satin or black polyester. Label sewn in on left and right edges.
    • 25mm x 40mm Portrait label. Label Type: Black polyester sewn in on top edge for a washing instruction label sewn into a side seam (non-fray fabric)
    • 25mm x 80mm Portrait label. Label Type: White satin, folded over to 25mm x 40mm with top/bottom edges sewn into a side seam or back of neck. Cut edges must be sewn in.
